Prior to joining the Burkart Group, Valarie volunteered for several different causes within the local community. One of her volunteer efforts highlighted her strong organizational skills and as a result, “no good deed goes unpunished” and this lent her to being elected as the leader of the Parent Teacher Association, even while continuing to serve on several advisory boards and booster clubs. For 16 years she has led, as Team Captain, the longest standing March of Dimes family team and was subsequently asked to serve on the advisory and planning committee for the Dallas March for Babies event.
